The 40th Annual Hayward Lions Club Pre-Birkie! RACE START DELAYED BY ONE HOUR (updated 2/11/22 at 1:30pm)
On Saturday, February 12th, 2022, skiers will have the choice to race the short (about 25k) or long (about 43k) on the world class American Birkebeiner Trail. All racers will receive a race sweatshirt, brat, beverage and local sweets. All proceeds for the race will benefit the variety of service projects and organizations the Hayward Lions Club supports.
This Lions Club Fundraiser and FUN race has no equal when it comes to preparing one mentally and physically for the American Birkebeiner. In other words, once you have completed the Pre-Birkie you will have the confidence to take on the mother of all XC marathon races, the American Birkebeiner.
Every skier will receive a special Pre-Birkie sweatshirt. Come and enjoy the day with the Hayward Lions at our Pre-Birkie the “Best Birkie prep race in the Midwest”.
