The Glenn Miller Orchestra @ The Park Center
Fri, 01 Aug 2025 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Park Center, 15791 US-63, Hayward, WI 54843, USA
THE WORLD FAMOUS GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA® Glenn Miller launched his second band – the one that lives on today – in March of 1938 and The Glenn Miller Orchestra has been a “hit” ever since.
The legendary Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all dance bandleaders back in the Swing Era ofthe 1930’s and 40’s. A matchless string of hit records, the constant impact of radio broadcasts and the drawing power at theaters, hotels and dance pavilion, built and sustained the momentum of popularity.
Today, the 18 member ensemble continues to play many of the original Miller arrangements both from the civilian band and the AAFB libraries. Additionally, it also plays some more modern selections arranged and performed in the Miller style and sound.
TICKETS: $35 advance, $40 door and $5 students (17 and under)

Grand Ole Opry Members, five-time GRAMMY® Award winners individually, three-time GRAMMY® Award nominees collectively, four-time DOVE Award winners and winners of 35 IBMA Awards altogether (including 3-time IBMA Entertainer of the Year Award winners and 3-Time Vocal Group of the Year Award winners), Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent (and their world-class band) offer a unique and modernized spin on ‘American music’. The duo has played across the globe, taking the stage at iconic venues including the Ryman Auditorium and Carnegie Hall. Now on Season 5 of their nationally broadcast television series, The Dailey & Vincent Show on the Circle Network (and previously RFD TV), Dailey & Vincent bring their music to a national audience on a weekly basis. After a decade spent performing together and with over 1,000 airings of their PBS special Dailey & Vincent ALIVE – In Concert, their concoction of fantastically instinctive vocal blends of Dailey’s tenor and Vincent’s reedy harmonies has gained them well-deserved praise for their own distinctive style and worldwide recognition as American music gold.

Wed, 06 Aug 2025 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
Cable Natural History Museum, 13470 County Hwy M, Cable, WI, 54821, United States
(Master Naturalist Advanced Training) A hike of a little over a mile along the South Fork of the Flambeau River brings us to the brink of a granite canyon known as Slough Gundy. It overlooks roaring rapids. Along the way we will visit majestic Little Falls and see some interesting plant life, including massive white pines. Sheltered behind Slough Gundy is a deep, dark old-growth hemlock forest with some unusual seldom-seen features. To reach Slough Gundy, we will need to ford a side-branch of the river by stepping from boulder to boulder.
Meet at the Cable Natural History Museum at 10 a.m. carpool to the field location, and finish by 5:30 p.m. You don’t have to be a certified Master Naturalist to participate! Any adult learners are welcome. Space is limited. Register by August 4. $35 member/$45 non-member. For those of you coming from the north, we will meet in front of the Cable Natural History Museum. For those to the south, we will come down and meet you either in the L & M Fleet Supply parking lot in Hayward or at the Phillips 66 gas station in Winter.

Carol Z loves to entertain, tell stories and connect with her audience. She covers songs from as early as the 1920s all the way to current pop chart hits. Her voice is smooth, often described as velvety, but she can belt out Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin when the venue calls for it. She plays guitar, keys, percussion, and a number of other song enhancing instruments...always surprising her listeners. For more information, call: 715-915-1111

MoeDell & Company @ The Park Center
Sat, 09 Aug 2025 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
The Park Center, 15791 US-63, Hayward, WI 54843, USA
MoeDeLL is an American singer-songwriter. His guitar picking style, poetic lyrics, and unique voice are the foundation. His foot stomping, down home melodies, tell tales from light to dark and from silliness to the endearing.
MoeDeLL grew up in southern Virginia, and it’s apparent in his songs, with country, bluegrass, and old-time music influencing his sound and storytelling.
Over the years, the Country Americana powerhouse has performed his "down home music" for crowds of every size. Back when he first started making music for a living, MoeDeLL received a sage piece of advice: "Play the same in front of 5 people as you would in front of 5000."
Nominated for Songwriter of the Year and Americana Artist of the Year, for the 2020 and 2021 Midwest Country Music Association Awards.

The Jayhawks @ Big Top Chatauqua
The Jayhawks @ Big Top Chatauqua
Sat, 09 Aug 2025 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Big Top Chautauqua - Concert Venue, 32525 Ski Hill Rd, Bayfield, WI 54814, USA
The Jayhawks and their rootsy sound were definitely swimming against the tide when they emerged from a crowded Minnesota music scene in 1985. Over the course of almost 4 decades, 11 albums, countless memorable live shows and enough personal drama to fill a couple of Behind the Music episodes, this beloved band soared to heights few ever achieve while winning the hearts and minds of numerous critics, fans and peers in the process. After releasing two Indie albums in the 80s The Jayhawks signed with American Recordings in 1991 and over the next decade released 5 challenging, at times groundbreaking, albums, toured the world to widespread acclaim and even survived the departure of founding member Mark Olson in 1995. After a hiatus in the mid 2000s, the “classic” 1994 lineup reunited for another new studio album in 2011 and 2 years of solid touring, reacquainting audiences old and new with the band’s timeless musical vision. 2014 saw a late 90s version of the band led by Gary Louris hitting the road to support the reissues of the 3 Jayhawks albums released from 1997-2003. This lineup released the band’s 9th studio album in 2016, recorded in Portland, OR with producers Peter Buck and Tucker Martine. The band’s next studio album, Back Roads And Abandoned Motels, was released in the summer of 2018, featuring Jayhawks versions of songs Gary Louris had previously written with other artists plus 2 new compositions. Recording for a new Jayhawks album was completed in Minnesota in late 2019 and in July 2020 the band released their 11th studio album, XOXO.

(Master Naturalist Advanced Training)
Sturgeon are the oldest and largest native fish in the Great Lakes region. Join Max Wolter and Kendal Patrie, Fisheries Biologists from the Wisconsin DNR, to net huge sturgeon as part of a population survey. Meet at the Barker Lake boat landing in Winter, WI, at 9 a.m. There will be space for a few folks in the DNR boats, but some participants can bring their own canoe or kayak and lifejacket. Potluck lunch. Finish by 4 p.m. This program is contingent on water levels and temperatures that are safe for the fish. Show your interest with an RSVP and we’ll contact you as soon as the biologists have decided whether the netting can take place.
We’re allowing more people to RSVP than are allowed in the program, but if the program happens, the first 20 people who RSVPd get dibs, and the other folks will be contacted if spaces become available.
