The Hayward Foundation for Educational Enrichment Lee Bonicatto Memorial Golf Outing will be held at Big Fish Golf Club. The Lee Bonicatto Memorial Golf Outing is one of the most popular golf outings in the area, with a waiting list each year! This event is a fun-filled 18-hole scramble for men and women of any golf handicap.
Lee Bonicatto was one of the initial board members of HFEE and was an outstanding teacher in the school district until his retirement. The community lost Lee due to myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder in 2007, and the HFEE board wanted to recognize his accomplishments by naming the golf outing in his honor. HFEE needs sponsors and golfers to make the day a financial success. The proceeds from the tournament provide funds for the grants we award to the Hayward Community School staff and teachers to enrich education for students of all ages.

One of our favorite Backstage performances of last year was Chastity Brown, and it sold out quickly so many of you missed it. Now you have another chance for this command return by the charismatic, edgy, and wildly talented musician based out of Minneapolis.
Critics have dubbed her “a banjo-playing soul-singer” and “a rocking, rolling encyclopedia of roots music”. NPR calls Brown’s music a “A work of brooding soul eloquence, alt-rock wiriness, atmospheric pop sweetening and folk-infected naturalness.”

Jennifer Grimm Sings Judy Garland is an energetic, uplifting concert celebrating Judy Garland’s music and showmanship with such joyful integrity that the Judy Garland Museum™️ selected Grimm and her show to perform at the 100th Birthday Celebration of Judy Garland.
Join Jennifer and her 11-piece band as she sweetly sails through Garland classics such as “You Made Me Love You,” “Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart” and, of course, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
Both Grimm and Garland were born in Minnesota to vaudeville families, bringing command and charisma to the stage as only lifelong entertainers can.
Although they were born over a half a century apart, the sentimental sounds of the Judy Garland era seem to be a perfect fit for Grimm’s well-known versatility and ability to bring powerful vocals to the show stopping numbers as well as an intimate tenderness to Garland’s ballads that will leave a lump in your throat.
“This is way beyond the rainbow with a stellar cast of area musicians. If all you know about Judy is the Wizard of Oz, you need to see this show.” —Andrea Canter

Mixing up an unlikely concoction of vintage rock & roll and outlaw country, Cole Diamond is, depending on when you ask, either the stage name for singer/songwriter Ryan Otte or the collective handle for Otte and his Band. For years Otte spent most weekends behind a drum kit playing with too many bands to list. The idea for Cole Diamond came about as a way for Otte to step out from behind the drums and try his hand at the front of the stage. In the years since “Cole Diamond” was conceived he has released two EPs, a string of singles, received airplay on 89.3 The Current, and opened for national acts such as Jenny Don't & The Spurs, Corb Lund and The Wilder Blue. Drawing on influences that range from Waylon and Willie to Brooks & Dunn, Cole Diamond delivers a modern take on a classic sound.
